Plymouth Pilotage Service ISPO certified

The international Users Group of ISPO certified pilot organizations congratulates Plymouth Pilotage Service on gaining its ISPO accreditation.

Bureau Veritas conducted the initial audit and Plymouth Pilotage Service passed the audit successfully. Darren Roberts of Bureau Veritas presented the ISPO Compliance Certificate to Harbor Master Capt. Richard Allan and pilot Capt. Richard Eggleton.

Cattewater (Plymouth) is located on the south coast of Devon and boasts one of the world’s finest natural harbours said Harbor Master Richard Allan. Apart from the Naval dockyard, the harbour comprimises of three Commercial harbours.

Cattewater Harbour Commissioners exist by Act of Parliament as the navigation and conservancy authority for the Cattewater Harbour, as well as civil pilotage authority for the Port of Plymouth, said pilot Richard Eggleton. The Pilotage Service wants to provide a safe and efficient service and meet the customer requirements. The ISPO accreditation process has allowed us to reflect on our processes, reaffirm our commitment to safety and stands for continuous improvement.
