Capt. Hans Leemborg retires after nine years as IUG Administrator. In 2000, as a Rotterdam pilot, he was already involved in the development of ISPO as a member of a task group training/education and in setting up the Incidents and Accidents database. So after his retirement as a pilot, it was not surprising that he was asked for the position of IUG Administrator.

With great passion Hans has worked to promote and further develop ISPO/IUG. As IUG administrator he was the oil that kept the wheels turning by maintaining all contacts with the board, associates, classification societies and interested parties. He led the revision of the ISPO Code in 2021 and the new ISPO website. There are now 36 pilot organisations worldwide that are ISPO accredited and the number is still growing.

During the dinner after the first conference day in the Royal Hotel Melbourne, the IUG Chairman Capt. Matt Easton thanks him extensively for all his efforts and commitment over the past nine years.

Mr. Bruno Dockx has been secretary of the IUG from the beginning of ISPO and has a great knowledge of ISPO. Bruno has indicated that he would like to remain involved in the further development of ISPO and is willing to succeed Hans. The IUG board is pleased that Bruno wants to continue Hans' work and that his knowledge will not be lost. We wish Bruno every success with his new challenge as IUG administrator.

Mr. Bruno Dockx will succeed Capt. Hans Leemborg as per 1-1-2025.
