It is with great sadness that the ISPO community learned of the passing of

Dr. Capt. Clive Sheard

We met Clive Sheard at the ISPO Conference in Brisbane in 2018. He becomes the grand ambassador for ISPO in Australia and surrounding countries.

Through his determination the majority of pilot services in Australia have become ISPO accredited, and we are forever in his debt for his relentless pursuit of this goal.

With all his warmth and enthusiasm he has made a great contribution to safer lives of seafarers, especially pilots. His legacy amongst pilots in Australia and beyond will live on for a long time.

The loss of Clive is not only a great loss for ISPO, but for the maritime sector in general.

The ISPO community is very grateful to him.
