At the annual meeting of Associates on 10 October in the Rydges Hotel, Melbourne Mr. Bruno Dockx stepped down as the IUG Secretary one year earlier according to the rotation schedule to succeed Capt. Hans Leemborg as IUG administrator per 1-1-2025. He was one of the founders of ISPO from the beginning and wants to remain involved in the further development of ISPO. In the meeting, Bruno was extensively thanked for his efforts and commitment as IUG secretary for the past years. The board is very pleased that with this succession his extensive knowledge of ISPO will be retained for the IUG.
The successor of Mr. Bruno Dockx is Ms.Silvia Linssen. Silvia started her career with the Dutch Pilot Organization in 2008. Since 2012 she hold the position of Quality and Safety advisor and is the Designated Person of the four ISPO accredited Dutch associates.Silvia has extensive knowledge of the quality management systems ISM, MLC, ISO 9001 and ISPO. Since 2015 she has been an active member of the IUG working group which involves maintaining and improving the ISPO Code. It is her strong belief that the ISPO Code lays the foundation for a powerful quality management system in order to ensure reliability and quality for maritime pilot organizations.
The IUG board wishes Silvia every success with her new challenge as IUG secretary.
