ISPO is a standard of best practice for maritime pilot organizations, improving safety and quality. ISPO provides self-regulation and transparency in pilotage standards to all port related stakeholders.

The total number of pilot organizations that comply with the ISPO code has risen to 35, representing approximately 1400 pilots. More and more Pilot organizations appreciate the benefits of the standard and the ISPO family is growing continuously.

The 2024 ISPO Conference will take place in Melbourne, Australia on October 9 and 10. The conference will focus on handling of a serious incident by a mock court related to ISPO topics. Interesting speakers from pilot organizations, authorities, lawyers, safety council, human factors, training, etc. will discuss the various topics related to ISPO.

Our host, the Auriga Group, would like to invite all (interested) pilot organizations and maritime stakeholders to attend the conference at the Rydges Melbourne, centrally located in Melbourne.

Below you will find the program (may be subject to change)
