The Port of Cork and Cork Pilots were honored to host this year's ISPO conference, especially as it was the first time in years we were able to meet in person due to Covid.

As influential individuals and organizations in the maritime sector, pilots play a crucial role in shaping the future of our ports. Our primary focus is on continuously reviewing and updating the ISPO safety management system to ensure it remains current and appropriate. We also focus on innovation, efficiency, and sustainability in maritime operations. 

This in-person conference provided an excellent platform for us to discuss the effectiveness of previous changes, discuss proposed new changes, and develop a long-term vision to maintain ISPO as the preferred SMS for pilot organizations worldwide.

Prior to the conference, Bureau Veritas also hosted a workshop on "Internal Audit" for all interested participants.
